The Office of the US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) said that the United States has provided $8 billion in aid to Afghanistan since August 2021. SIGAR added that this aid has partially prevented a massive famine in 2022.
With the announcement of the US Special Inspector General for the Reconstruction of Afghanistan (SIGAR), this office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country have resumed their activities that were stopped after the fall of the previous government in Afghanistan.
