Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Maulavi Zabihullah Mujahid, the general spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, said in an interview with AVA today (Sunday, Nov 24) that the Islamic Emirate is following this case seriously.
While condemning the ISIS terrorist group’s attack on worshippers in Baghlan, which resulted in the martyrdom of 10 people, he said that the security forces of the Islamic Emirate will bring the perpetrators of this incident to justice.
Zabihullah Mujahid said: "The Islamic Emirate condemns this horror and the security forces of the Islamic Emirate are trying to find the perpetrators of this incident and bring them to justice."
The spokesman for the Islamic Emirate says that all efforts of the security forces are underway to arrest the perpetrators of this incident and that such crimes will be prevented from recurring.
According to his words, this attack shows the cowardice and helplessness of this seditionist group (the ISIS terrorist group) that targets civilians and people engaged in worship.
Previously, the Baghlan Provincial Police Command had said that ten people were martyred in an armed attack by unknown gunmen on those who were praying in a mosque in the Shahr-e-Kohna area of Nahrin district.
Confirming the incident, the Baghlan Police Command said that security forces have arrested several people on charges of this incident and investigations have begun against them.
Shir Ahmad Burhani, spokesman for the Baghlan Police Command, said in a press release: "Last night, unknown individuals attacked a mosque in the old city of Kohna, Nahrin district, Baghlan province. In this mysterious attack, ten residents of Nahrin district who were praying in the mosque were martyred. It should be noted that the said individuals were working during the day to earn their living and were coming to the mosque and the khanqah to pray at night when they were attacked." This is while the ISIS terrorist group issued a statement last night claiming responsibility for the martyrdom of 10 people in Nahrin district, Baghlan province. This terrorist attack took place two nights ago.
