SIGAR: America has helped Afghanistan with 8 billion dollars
The Office of the US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) said that the United States has provided $8 billion in aid to Afghanistan since August 2021. SIGAR added that this aid has partially prevented a massive famine in 2022.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Office of the US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) published a report on Friday (February 3) that the US has aided Afghanistan with eight billion dollars since August 2021.

SIGAR continued to write in his report, while 28.3 million people in Afghanistan depend on international food aid, but according to the UN, there is no guarantee that how much aid will reach the needy.

The report states that billions of dollars in international aid have been helpful to a certain extent and to some extent have prevented widespread famine in 2022.

SIGAR added that American aid to Afghanistan, whether humanitarian or otherwise, may unintentionally give legitimacy to the Islamic Emirate.

This is despite the fact that the Office of the Special Inspector General of the United States for the reconstruction of Afghanistan had previously said that effective monitoring of the aid provided to Afghanistan is necessary.
