Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Donald Trump, the US President-elect, will officially take the helm of the White House on January 20 and will seek to fulfill his election slogans. Ending the war in Ukraine is one of these slogans.
Accordingly, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov strongly criticized the Biden administration's recent actions and interpreted them as a stumbling block in the foreign policy of the next US administration.
In this regard, he said: Joe Biden seeks to escalate tensions in Ukraine with the aim of preventing the Trump administration from resolving the current crisis in the country. Trump promised to end the war in Ukraine during his election campaign. Now the Biden administration is seeking to prevent the next administration from reaching a peace agreement.
Peskov emphasized: Biden is seeking to escalate tensions in Ukraine and sees Kiev as a tool to confront Russia. Biden’s team has shown that it is war-mongering and will do anything to continue this conflict.
John Mearsheimer, the world’s greatest current strategist, considers the expansion of NATO to Russia’s borders to be the main reason for the start of the war in Ukraine. He believes that the Biden administration is responsible for the destruction of Ukraine and is now trying to prevent the collapse of the Ukrainian army before handing over the government to Trump.
The Biden administration has recently taken steps to grant Kiev permission to target deep inside Russian territory with weapons donated by the United States; an issue that Moscow has strongly warned about.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. This attack is known as the largest military attack in Europe since World War II.
Since the beginning of the war, Western countries, especially the United States and European countries, have provided extensive support to Ukraine. This cooperation includes the following:
Military aid: The United States and European countries have sent significant amounts of weapons and military equipment to Ukraine, including anti-tank weapons, missile systems, and armored vehicles.
Sanctions: Heavy economic sanctions have been imposed on Russia to reduce its ability to continue the war. These sanctions have severely damaged Russia's oil and gas revenues.
Economic and humanitarian support: In addition to military aid, countries have provided financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. This assistance includes financial packages to support the Ukrainian economy and aid to war refugees.
Diplomatic support: Western countries have tried to maintain international solidarity and support for Ukraine, and to highlight the recognition of the country's right to defend itself.
These collaborations reflect the West's joint efforts to counter Russian threats and support Ukrainian sovereignty.
