Iran and China emphasize the need for stability and preventing divisive foreign interference in Afghanistan

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul announced in a press release that Kazemi Qomi, the country's special envoy to Afghanistan, met with Yu Xiaoyong, the Chinese envoy to Afghanistan, adding that in this meeting, the need to strengthen the initiative of the Regional Contact Group with the aim of establishing peace and stability was emphasized.
The Iranian Embassy added: In today's (Monday) meeting between "Hassan Kazemi" Qomi, the special representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan, and "Yu Xiaoyong", the representative of China in Afghanistan, the two sides emphasized the need to confront terrorism and the need to strengthen the initiative of the Regional Contact Group with the aim of establishing peace and stability, and emphasized and exchanged views on preventing divisive foreign interventions in Afghanistan. It is worth noting that last week, Mr. Qomi had emphasized the strengthening of relations between the two countries in separate meetings with senior officials of the caretaker government, including the Deputy Prime Minister for Politics and the Minister of Defense.
