Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, said in an interview with the Washington Post that he takes full responsibility for corruption and bribery in providing services to the people during his presidency, but America and its agents are the cause.
He has said that it is clear that big contracts, big corruptions with figures of millions of dollars or hundreds of millions of dollars were related to the American government and agents.
The former president of Afghanistan has stated that talks between Afghans are for the benefit of both the Islamic Emirate and Afghanistan, and there is a need for Afghans to agree on some issues and provide the ground for progress.
He said that there is an agreement on the need for inter-Afghan talks on the part of the Islamic Emirate, but no progress has been made regarding its initiation and implementation.
Hamid Karzai has criticized the freezing of Afghanistan's foreign exchange reserves and allocating part of these reserves to the relatives of the victims and survivors of the September 11th attack by the US government.
Mr. Karzai considers former president Ashraf Ghani's escape from the country as the reason for the fall of the republican system.
It is worth mentioning that during the presidency of Hamid Karzai, most of the aid from the international community flowed into Afghanistan, but despite this, no fundamental work was done in the field of development projects, rather, it was a pity because of the corruption of these funds.
