America is in complete international isolation/Russia supports stopping the bloodshed in Gaza
The Russian Deputy Ambassador to the UN stated that the United States has found itself in complete international isolation after vetoing another draft resolution on a ceasefire in Gaza. He also emphasized Russia’s support for decisive measures aimed at stopping the bloodshed in Gaza.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): “Dmitry Polyansky,” Russia’s Deputy Ambassador to the UN, emphasized that the United States has found itself in complete international isolation after vetoing another resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Polyansky stated at the UN Security Council meeting on West Asia: “The United States has found itself in complete international isolation after vetoing a draft prepared by 10 non-permanent members. No one else shares the US approach, neither in the Middle East, nor among the members of the Security Council, nor among the overwhelming majority of UN member states.”

The Russian diplomat noted: “Washington’s policy of blocking UN Security Council action on the Middle East is a stain on the image of the outgoing US government, and this government will never be able to erase this stain.”

Polyansky’s remarks came after the UN Security Council, which has five permanent members and 10 non-permanent members, voted on another resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip last Wednesday. The resolution, which was proposed by the 10 non-permanent members of the council, received 14 votes in favor, with the US voting against it, which blocked its adoption and caused its veto.

This is the fourth time during the recent Gaza war that the US has vetoed a resolution calling for a ceasefire in the UN Security Council.

Polyansky noted that Russia will continue to support decisive measures aimed at stopping the bloodshed in Gaza.

He stressed that the Russian mission to the UN is ready to cooperate with "responsible members of the Security Council" or the UN General Assembly for this purpose.
