Members of the Actors Society of the US, in a letter, condemned the Israeli crimes and emphasized on the need to set up ceasefire in Gaza.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: More than 700 members of the Actors Society of the US in an open letter called on the society to adopt stance in support for Palestine, permanent ceasefire in Gaza, condemnation of violence against journalists and support for the actors backing Palestine.
According to Pars Today, Mark Ruffalo, Ramy Youssef, Susan Sarandon, Melissa Barrera and Cynthia Nixon are among hundreds of members of the Actors Society who have asked the head of the society to directly support the Palestinian people.
Francine Joy Drescher, the national president of the Screen Actors Guild- American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAGA-AFTRA), and other guild presidents have also called in the letter for protection of the members against putting their names in the black list due to pro-Palestine views.
Part of the letter reads, "The Israeli army continues attacking secure areas, schools and hospitals, the attacks which major human rights groups describe as war crimes."
In another part of the letter has criticized the silence of the Actors Society towards flagrant violation of human rights and several decades of occupation of the land and life of the Palestinians by the Zionist regime.
Emboldened with the all-out support of the Western countries, the Israeli regime has launched a new widespread carnage in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank against the defenseless and innocent people of Palestine since October 7, 2023.
According to the latest reports, the attacks of the fake Zionist regime on Gaza have resulted in martyrdom of more than 41 thousand Palestinians and injury of over 95 thousand others.
The main core of the Israeli regime was shaped in 1917 via the infiltration of the forefathers of the new lobbyists in the West and the colonial British scheme through the forceful migration of the Jews from different countries into the Palestinian land; and the illegitimate birth of this entity was officially announced in 1948.
