In the latest developments related to the war and Western aid to Kiev, Western arms donors have provided more sophisticated weapons to the Ukrainian army than before, with F-16 fighters being the latest example of weapons that were added to the Ukrainian army last month.

On Friday, Russia's deputy defense minister warned of NATO's dangerous game in Ukraine, saying the alliance is trying to push Russia to negotiate under the rules of Kiev, while planning to send troops to Ukraine.

Alexander Fomin, Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia stated: "Kiev receives comprehensive military aid. The Ukrainian nationalist government is supplied with modern weapons and encouraged by the West to invade Russian territory. NATO countries are planning to send their troops to Ukraine in order to force Russia to participate in negotiations based on the Kiev formula.

"This is a dangerous game that may lead to a direct military confrontation between the nuclear powers," Fomin continued.
