The former CIA agent was sentenced to 10 years in prison for spying for China
The US Department of Justice announced that a former agent of the "Central Intelligence Agency" (CIA) confessed to spying for China and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

He is 71 years old and worked for the CIA from 1982 to 1989. Ma was arrested in August 2020 and confessed to his charges in May this year.
 
He admitted that he passed classified military information to the intelligence officers of China's Shanghai Security Administration.
 
According to IRNA, the court documents indicate that one of our relatives, who worked for the CIA from 1967 to 1983, was involved in this conspiracy. According to this sanad, the name of this person was not mentioned and he passed away.
 
The US Department of Justice added that these two individuals had top-secret security clearances.
 
The ministry announced that Ma and his accomplice met with agents of the Shanghai Security Bureau in Hong Kong in March 2001 and provided them with classified information in exchange for $50,000 in cash.
