A car bomb explosion at a checkpoint near the parliament in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, has left at least four people dead and 10 others injured, police say.

Nearly a dozen people have lost their lives and several others sustained injuries when a bomb explosion ripped through a mosque in the eastern flank of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

Six police personnel were wounded in two back to back bomb explosions on their post in southern Kandahar province on Sunday evening, an official said.
