Zelensky: We are ready to negotiate with Moscow, provided that Russia respects the "territorial integrity of Ukraine"

From June 15 to 16, Switzerland hosted a conference on Ukraine in Burgenstock resort. Vladimir Khokhlov, a spokesman for the Russian Embassy in Bern, told Sputnik in April that Russia had not received an invitation, but even if it had, it would not have attended the conference.

 

Russia has consistently stated that it is ready for peace talks if Ukraine recognizes the territorial gains of Russian forces since the start of military operations. However, Kiev does not agree with such conditions and demands the withdrawal of Russian troops from its international borders.

 

According to Sputnik, on the other hand, following the outbreak of the war, Zelensky passed a law in his country that rejects any peace negotiations with Moscow as long as Vladimir Putin is the president of Russia. In addition, Zelensky's presidential term has ended and new elections have not been held, and Moscow questions Zelensky's legitimacy and insists that if there is a question of signing a document to end the war, Zelensky's credibility is an issue.
