America: The tension on the Lebanese border should be resolved diplomatically
Following the escalation of tensions between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah, the US Secretary of Defense announced: Washington is looking for an immediate diplomatic agreement to prevent a war between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said on Tuesday (June 25) that the US is trying to reach a diplomatic agreement that will allow Israeli and Lebanese civilians to return to their homes.

On Tuesday local time, at the beginning of his meeting with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant at the Pentagon, the US Secretary of Defense claimed: "Hezbollah's provocative actions threaten to drag the people of Israel and Lebanon into a war that they do not want." "Such a war would be disastrous for Lebanon and devastating for innocent Israeli and Lebanese civilians."

The US Defense Minister continued: "Diplomacy is the best way to prevent further escalation of tension." "We therefore urgently seek a diplomatic agreement that will restore lasting peace to Israel's northern borders and enable civilians to return safely to their homes on both sides of the Israeli-Lebanese border."

According to media reports, Israel's Minister of War Yu Av Gallant also said: We must work to ensure the return of 120 prisoners and the destruction of Hamas.

He claimed: Iran is the biggest threat to the future of the world and time is running out and we intend to change the situation in the north and return the residents of those areas to their homes.

Gallant said: "It's time for Washington to fulfill its promise to give us the right weapons to deal with threats."

Before his trip to America, Israel's war minister said on Sunday that he will discuss with American officials about entering the third phase of the war against the Gaza Strip and the status of the battle front with Hezbollah in northern occupied Palestine.

He said: The relationship with America has become more important for Tel Aviv and meeting with high-ranking American officials is very important for the future of the Gaza war. During my trip to Washington, I will also talk with American officials about the situation on the northern front with Lebanon's Hezbollah and obtaining the necessary support from America.

On Sunday, news sources, quoting Gallant's relatives, reported that he is unhappy with the way Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu interacts with the US government.

The Israeli newspaper "Jerusalem Post" quoted Gallant's relatives and wrote that he blames Netanyahu for the arms crisis with Washington because, according to the Minister of War of the Israeli regime, Netanyahu did not act intelligently and calmly.
