Announcing the full results of the Iranian presidential election; The election officially went to the second round
The spokesperson of the election headquarters of the Ministry of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced the final results of the presidential elections of this country a few moments ago, according to which none of the candidates could get the majority of votes and this election went to the second round. In the first round of Iran's presidential elections, Masoud Pezshkian stood in first place with 10,415,191 votes, nearly one million more votes than Saeed Jalili.

He further announced the results of the candidates of this election as follows:
Massoud Pazshkian: 10,415,191 votes
Saeed Jalili: 9,473,298 votes
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf: 3,383,340 votes
Mustafa Pourmohammadi: 206,397 votes

In this way, according to the spokesperson of Iran's election headquarters, none of these candidates for the presidential election of this country could get the overwhelming majority of votes, and therefore, based on Article 117 of the Constitution of this country and also the articles of the presidential election law, these elections with the presence of the first and second candidates, they go to the second round of elections with the approval of the Guardian Council.
He added that the law has chosen the first Friday after the election on 5th July, as the day of holding the second round of the presidential election.
According to Salami, these statistics will be sent to the Guardian Council and it is the responsibility of this Council to verify the integrity of the elections.

This is despite the fact that some news sources in Iran had previously announced that the 14th presidential election of this country will most likely be extended to the second round due to the unofficial results.
