Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Hundreds of Brazilians held a demonstration yesterday before the Group of 20 summit in Rio de Janeiro to condemn the crimes of the Zionist regime.
This peaceful demonstration was held on the beach of Copacabana and under the rain, with the presence of dozens of police and military forces.
The meeting of the Group of 20 is scheduled to be held on Monday and Tuesday with the presence of heads of state, including US President Joe Biden, Chinese President Xi Jinping, etc.
According to Rashatoudi's report, the protestors demanded the termination of Brazil's relations with the Zionist regime and the cessation of financial support of countries for Israel's attacks against Gaza and Lebanon, by wearing the headscarf and raising the Palestinian flag. The protesters also demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and condemned the genocide of Palestinians by the Zionist regime.
According to Al-Monitor's report, other issues such as climate change, poverty, taxing the wealthy, etc. were also mentioned in this demonstration.
In a part of the Copacabana beach, as a sign of solidarity with the world's hungry, 733 containers with the symbol of the Red Cross representing the 733 million hungry people in the world (according to the United Nations) were installed on the beach.
Before the Group of 20 summit, South African Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola called for "Israel's accountability" and "reduction of tensions in the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East" in a social event with the presence of activists, non-governmental organizations and civil institutions.
He also added: "We stand by the Palestinian people and we ask all members of society to do the same.
Since the beginning of the attacks on the Gaza Strip, the Zionist regime has martyred more than 43,800 Palestinians, most of whom are women and children.
