The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for the Russian Defense Minister
In a ruling, the International Criminal Court demanded the arrest of Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Russian senior general Valery Gerasimov on charges of "war crimes" and "crimes against humanity."
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)- International Service: Yesterday, the International Criminal Court accused former Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and prominent Russian General Valery Gerasimov of committing what it described as war crimes and demanded their arrest.

This court claimed: "There are enough reasons to show that these two suspects were responsible for the Russian armed forces' missile attacks against Ukraine's electricity infrastructure from October 10, 2022 to at least March 9, 2023."

These Russian officials have been accused of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in attacking civilians and infrastructure.

Moscow, while denying the killing of civilians, has repeatedly said that it considers Ukraine's energy infrastructure as a supplier of the country's arms industry a legitimate military target for its armed forces.

Earlier, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Benny Gantz on charges of war crimes. But the US and its supporters, citing that the Zionist regime is not a member of this court, considered the war in Gaza outside the jurisdiction of this court.

While Russia and Ukraine are not members of this court, the United States and other supporters of Ukraine did not oppose the rulings of this court against Russia.
