Deputy PM Baradar Visits Flood-Affected Ghor Province
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, talked with the officials of Ghor Province during her trip.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: The purpose of his visit was to assess the extent of the damage caused by the floods and offer support to the affected individuals.
During his address, Mullah Baradar Akhund highlighted the significant personal and financial losses suffered by the people of Ghor and other affected provinces. He acknowledged the displacement of families, the submergence of agricultural lands, and the destruction of crucial infrastructure such as bridges, culverts, and roads. He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate had acted promptly to provide assistance to those affected by the floods.
Mullah Baradar Akhund conveyed the Islamic Emirate’s solidarity with the citizens in their time of grief and sorrow. He announced that tens of tons of food, medicine, and clothing had already been sent to Ghor province, demonstrating their commitment to alleviating the suffering of the affected individuals. Furthermore, he declared that tens of millions of Afghanis in cash would be provided to support the citizens in their recovery efforts.
The Deputy Prime Minister assured the residents of Ghor that the Islamic Emirate had instructed all government officials to gather aid and ensure its transparent distribution to deserving and vulnerable citizens.
