The import of models before 2005 to the country was banned
The Ministry of Finance of the Islamic Emirate has banned the import of cars manufactured before 2005.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: On Saturday, June 15, the Ministry published a statement saying that this decision was made based on the decision of the Cabinet of the Islamic Emirate and the order of Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzadeh.

According to the announcement, the cars whose model is from 2000 to 2005 and which were imported into the country before this ruling, the customs work will be completed by Asad of the current year.

After this, no one will be allowed to import cars manufactured before 2005, the notice said.

This is despite the fact that before this, the government had reduced the customs tariff for the import of high-performance cars from 2013 to 2022.

The Ministry of Finance said that the purpose of reducing the import customs tariff is to replace old cars in the markets with new cars and increase revenue.
