The first plane carrying the humanitarian aid of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the recent flood victims of the country landed yesterday (Thursday) at the Maulana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi International Airport in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, and the aid cargo was handed over to the officials of the local government of Balkh in the presence of the Consul General of Iran.

On the part of Maulvi Noorul Hadi Abu Adris, Deputy Governor of Balkh province, he appreciated the humanitarian assistance of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the flood victims and added: The government and people of Iran have always stood by the people of Afghanistan and we have witnessed the continuation of their assistance at different times. 
 
He clarified that the floods and the resulting damages formed a good global and regional consensus to provide relief to the people of Afghanistan, and the officials of the Islamic Emirate are also working day and night to help the flood victims.
 
In the meantime, the officials of Saremizeh in the northern zone of the country said that sending humanitarian aid of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the flood victims is appreciable and the situation is under control after the recent floods.
