The discovery of the oldest wooden structure, half a million years old

Geoff Dowler, a professor of geography and geology at Aberystwyth University in England, was part of the team that discovered this wooden structure in 2019.

 

Dowler said the wooden structure was excavated at Kalambu headwaters near the Zambian border with Tanzania.
