Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to the Russian TASS news agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the United States supports terrorist groups such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.
Lavrov made these statements while visiting a Russian military base in Tajikistan.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia also reacted to the recent words of the American ambassador in Tajikistan about the country's lack of support for the military groups opposing the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan and added: "Expressing these things in the language of diplomacy is a false statement."
Lavrov stated: "It is well known that America actively supports ISIS militants in Afghanistan, Al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups affiliated with it. The goal is not to allow Afghanistan to calm down."
The Russian Foreign Minister has claimed that the destabilizing processes in Afghanistan are in the interest of America.
He added that it is not a coincidence that the Americans do not stop thinking about returning their military infrastructure to neighboring countries.
This Russian diplomat noted that Washington is trying to deploy its military equipment in Afghanistan's neighboring countries.
Before this, Zamirkabulov, the representative of the Russian President in Afghanistan, stated in late August 2021: American forces and allies of this country in Afghanistan were in contact with the ISIS terrorist group and were cooperating with it. Now, by continuing to support ISIS and al-Qaeda, the United States intends to attack Russia, Central Asian countries and Iran by destabilizing and increasing insecurity in Afghanistan.
