Lavrov: The West does not want an end to the war in Ukraine

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Sergei Lavrov", the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, said on (Wednesday, March 30) that Western countries do not want the war in Ukraine to end.
 
He said these words in a joint press conference with Iran's Foreign Minister Hussain Amir Abdullahian, and added: "Anthony Blinken (US Secretary of State) said in his last speech that a ceasefire would benefit Russia at the moment." And it cannot be allowed. I say clearly that the only hypothesis is that the West did not want to stop this war and sees geopolitical interests in this war."
 
Lavrov added: "In fact, NATO has been at war with Russia alongside the Kiev regime and is deeply involved in this war."
 
With the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, the Western countries have given full support to Kiev and while sending a large amount of weapons to Ukraine, they have imposed several sanctions against Moscow.
 
From February 24, 2022, after recognizing the independence of Luhansk and Donetsk republics from Ukraine, Russia sent troops to this region and announced the beginning of "special military operations in Ukraine".
 
Russia announced its goal of this action to de-Nazify Ukraine, disarm this country, resolve its security concerns and respond to Luhansk and Donetsk's request for help.
 
However, the Ukrainian government has not recognized the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk and has called Russia's military presence an "aggression and attack on its territorial integrity".
 
Following the beginning of Russia's conflict with Ukraine, while condemning Moscow and intensifying economic pressures, Western countries have put all-round political, financial, and weapons support for Kiev on the agenda.
 
Despite the support of the West, in the field, Russia has managed to control Luhansk in the eastern Donbass region of Ukraine and is trying to dominate all regions of Donetsk.
