UN Meeting on Afghanistan Will not Discuss IEA Recognition
The recognition of Afghanistan’s de facto regime is not on the agenda of the UN meeting on Afghanistan.The Chargé d’Affaires of Afghanistan Permanent Mission to the United Nations, said.
Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, The meeting will cover a unified framework of the international community about political, economic, and social challenges in Afghanistan, said Naseer Ahmad Faiq in an interview with BBC.

“In this meeting, we will discuss a solution for Afghanistan’s political, economic and social issues; the recognition of the current regime will not be an issue of the meeting,” he said.

The remarks by Faiq came after the confusion raised by UN Deputy Chief Amina Mohammad, who proposed a conference to discuss the recognition of the Islamic Emirate.

Mohammad’s remarks were confronted with massive criticism both at the national and international levels.

The UN will host the international conference on Afghanistan in Doha on May first week.
