A military helicopter crashed into a tree in Afghanistan's central Logar province on Friday evening, Afghan officials said.
AVA- The helicopter made an emergency landing following an operation in Kharwar district. As it was taking off, it hit a tree, the provincial governor’s office said.
One person was injured in the incident, it added.
NATO mission in Afghanistan Resolute Support confirmed a helicopter incident in Logar, without providing further details.
“RS can confirm a helicopter incident in Logar province Friday evening. More info will be released when appropriate,” it said on twitter.
Taliban claimed the helicopter was shot down by its fighters and exaggerated over number of casualties.
