Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the Shia leader of Nigeria, warned against the US and France's scheming in disrupting the relations between Niger and Nigeria.

Human Rights Watch (HRW) has denounced a recent Nigerian court ruling that bans the movement led by jailed Muslim cleric Sheikh Ibrahim al-Zakzaky, calling on the Abuja government to reverse the ban, which prevents the group’s members from “exercising their right to carry out peaceful activities.”

Zakzaky was charged in April 2018 with murder, culpable homicide, unlawful assembly, disruption of public peace, and other accusations. He has pleaded not guilty, vehemently rejecting all accusations brought up against him.
