Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The New York Times writes in a report: One of the residents says that he cannot sleep because of the noise and is going crazy.
Since July 2024, North Korea has set up loudspeakers across the South Korean border, turning them on 10 to 24 hours a day, blaring ear-splitting noises to the annoyance of South Korean villagers, who say they have never seen such propaganda by Pyongyang. Yang has not been seen.
This action by North Korea is one of the strangest and most intolerable consequences of the deterioration of relations between the two Koreas, which have reached their lowest level in recent years under North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and South Korean President Yoon Seok-yul.
One of the residents of this border village between the two Koreas says: This is a bombardment without firing a single bullet. The loudspeakers that Pyongyang has installed on the border are really loud. We do not know when this state of noise will end or if it will end at all.
According to ISNA, this village is called "Dangsan" with a population of 354 people, most of its residents are over 60 years old, and these noises bother them. This is one of the most severe psychological warfare injuries from North Korea.
