Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: Brigadier General Ahmad Ali Goodarzi, Commander of the Farajah Border Guard (Police Command of the Islamic Republic of Iran), in an interview with Tasnim and explaining the details of the construction of the border wall by this country, said: These border walls, which are designed to prevent unauthorized entry of people, drug trafficking, and other possible threats, require constant monitoring and care. For this purpose, detailed plans have been made for the deployment of various forces and equipment around these borders.
He added: One of the most important measures is the deployment of guard towers at a distance of one kilometer from each other. These towers will be used as strategic points for more precise monitoring and control of suspicious movements and various threats at the borders. In addition to strengthening the physical presence of border guards, these towers will act as tools for patrolling and identifying potential dangers.
Emphasizing the use of modern technologies on the country's borders, this security official of the Islamic Republic of Iran said: One of the important methods for maintaining border security is the use of closed-circuit cameras and sensors. This equipment allows border guards to detect any suspicious movements at longer distances and react faster before any threatening action. These cameras and sensors will be able to identify objects and people in different weather conditions and day and night.
He further noted: Another key measure is the use of fiber optics to monitor and control border walls. This technology helps border guards to receive accurate information about the status of the borders in real time and without interruption.
The official of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated: Fiber optics is considered one of the suitable options for establishing surveillance networks on the borders due to its high data transmission capacity and the ability to connect to advanced surveillance systems.
According to him; “All these measures are taken in order to prevent various threats such as drug trafficking, terrorism, and other illegal activities on the borders of Iran.”
The Iranian security official added: The Border Guard of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always faced security threats on the borders, and for this reason, using the best and most advanced equipment and technologies to guard the borders has become one of the main priorities.
It is worth noting that for several months now, the Islamic Republic of Iran has begun the process of constructing a border wall on the borders with Afghanistan and Pakistan.
