Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International service: The Israeli newspaper "Ma'ariv" reported that the result of a survey shows that the current war in occupied Palestine continues to affect the mental health of Israeli students after one year.
According to the report of "Al Jazeera" network today (Monday), citing Ma'ariv, the result of this survey showed alarming data about the plight of students, so that those psychologists who have treated students and students, are afraid of increasing psychological pressure. Problems in education and management of students' daily programs have been reported as a result of war conditions.
Maariv says that 64% of psychologists who treated students stated that the number of students who requested treatment has increased.
According to this survey, 61% of these students have been waiting for help for 6 months, and even 12% have waited more than a year for their turn to receive psychotherapy.
The main reasons for referral were anxiety, lack of concentration, depression and distress caused by war shock.
76% of psychologists who have treated Israeli students say that the issue of going to military centers, frequent evacuations of residences after the activation of alarm bells, and family relationships with the dead and wounded in the war have increased the number of visits to medical centers.
Ma'ariv also reported that one of the other alarming statistics shows that 63 percent of students are thinking of dropping out and 10 percent have actually dropped out.
However, the Israeli media said 94 percent of psychologists stated that the treatment helped students continue their studies and that their daily functioning improved.
