Afghan government seeks to strengthen modern science
The acting minister of education, in a meeting to appreciate 20 winners of the entrance examination in Kabul, stressed the need for students to learn modern sciences and said that the Islamic Emirate is not against modern sciences and wants to strengthen modern sciences.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Education held a meeting to appreciate 20 winners of the entrance examination of schools and religious schools today (Sunday, July 28).
 
At the meeting Maulavi Habibullah Agha, acting education minister, said the country needed religious and modern sciences.
 
He said that learning modern sciences is necessary and assumed sufficiency and said that he cannot defend himself against the enemy of Afghanistan empty-handed.
 
The acting minister of education stressed the need to create a system based on which we have the ability to defend ourselves against the enemies of the country.
 
He added that without learning modern science and access to technology, the system and the country cannot be defended.
 
Maulavi Habibullah Agha added that the enemy has launched an intellectual war against Afghanistan and has confused people's minds about Islam in the past 20 years.
 
According to him, the Islamic Emirate is not against modern science and wants to strengthen modern science and without modern science, problems in the country cannot be solved.
