North Korea has launched a new ballistic missile
South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said early Wednesday that North Korea's military had fired an unspecified ballistic missile toward eastern waters.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Local sources reported that the North Korean army fired a projectile towards the East Sea on Wednesday morning.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff of the South Korean Armed Forces said that the North Korean army fired an unidentified ballistic missile towards the eastern waters.

"Yonhap" news agency wrote about this: "The recent [missile] launch was carried out amid the escalation of cross-border tensions due to the continued sending of garbage balloons by North Korea to the South."

According to this report, North Korea last launched several short-range ballistic missiles towards the East Sea on May 30.

Previously, the South Korean Foreign Ministry announced that Seoul, Washington and Tokyo condemned the expansion of military cooperation between Russia and North Korea "in the strongest tone" in a joint statement.

Meanwhile, North Korea sent about 250 balloons carrying garbage to the southern neighbor, some of which landed in Seoul, the capital of South Korea.
