The 19th meeting of foreign ministers of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) began in Tehran this morning, Monday (June 24) with the presence of 41 delegations from member countries and international organizations.

The meeting of foreign ministers of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue Forum started in Tehran
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: This meeting has started under the chairmanship of Ali Bagheri Kani, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, at Parsian Azadi Hotel in Tehran.
At the beginning of this meeting, the attendees took a commemorative photo, and the meeting started with a minute of silence in honor of the recent martyrs who served in Iran, from the President to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country.
In this meeting, 41 delegations including 25 delegations at the level of foreign minister, deputy minister and deputy foreign minister (11 to 12 foreign ministers, 5 to 6 deputy foreign ministers and the rest of the deputy foreign ministers) as well as secretaries general and heads of international organizations, 8 Director General and Secretary General of international organizations such as ECO, SICA, Day 8, Colombo Plan, CAP and SAARC are present in this meeting.
The meeting of senior experts of this forum was also held on Sunday in Tehran.
Mehdi Safari, Deputy Director of Economic Diplomacy Development of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, said on the sidelines of this meeting among reporters: This meeting can play a role in synergizing trade and industrial innovations, especially transit from China to Europe.
Safari pointed out: In 2023, when the Islamic Republic of Iran was elected as the periodic chairman of this meeting, Martyr Amir Abdollahian used the golden opportunity at the United Nations and held the first meeting. The second summit is currently being held and as you can see it has been very well received, 25 countries are present in this summit and a total of 41 delegations are present.
He added: Foreign delegations have had several bilateral meetings with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, which is very effective in synergizing with the Islamic Republic. Also, countries that are members of SN, BRICS, Shanghai and Eurasia are present in this meeting.
The deputy of diplomatic development of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran said: Political, economic and military issues of the Middle East region will also be discussed in this meeting and its sidelines. The purpose of this type of dialogue is to create peace and prevent possible crises in the region.
"Tehran Declaration" is supposed to be approved at the end of the meeting of foreign ministers of this forum in Tehran. Based on what has been said, it is expected that in this statement, in addition to the areas of cooperation between the members of the assembly, important issues such as the issue of Palestine and Gaza will also be addressed.
In the 19th session of the Assembly, the foreign ministers and the present officials will discuss the necessary preparations for holding the Assembly's summit in Qatar in the month of Mizan this year.
The Islamic Republic of Iran became a member of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue Forum in 2004 and is one of its active members and is currently the chairman of this forum. At the 18th meeting of foreign ministers of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue Forum known as ACD on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York on Sep 20 2023, Shahid Hossein Amirabdollahian was elected as the new president of this forum. Iran's presidency will continue until the end of 2024.
