Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate today (Sunday, June 23), published a statement on X channel and wrote that the Ministry of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov supported further talks.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the Islamic Emirate has always emphasized that as a responsible government, it is ready to have comprehensive and result-oriented discussions with all sides on common issues.
Abdul Qahar Balkhi said that the government of Afghanistan states to all countries, including Russia, that with the end of the occupation in Afghanistan, the factors of insecurity have disappeared.
According to him, with the provision of security, the conditions for investment and the implementation of large projects in Afghanistan have also been favorable.
At the same time, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters after the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization: "The Taliban government is fighting these terrorist groups, and we consider it essential to help this fight."
Lavrov also said that the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization have agreed on the need for a continuous and project-oriented dialogue with the Islamic Emirate.
He added: "In general, we are in favor of establishing a more stable, continuous and fundamental dialogue with the aim of implementing real projects with the Taliban government, which is actually in control of the country [Afghanistan]."
However, Vasily Nebenzia, Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, said at the United Nations Security Council meeting that lasting peace in Afghanistan is impossible without dialogue with the Islamic Emirate.
