A private company with an investment of 151 million Afghanis won the mining of Logar chromite
The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has announced that a private company with an investment of 151 million Afghanis on the chromite mine in Azra district of Logar province has been declared the winner of this tender for a period of five years.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has published a news release saying that Shirzad Mineral Mining and Processing Company has won the chromite mine in Bebar district of Azra district of Logar province for a period of five years by offering a royalty rate of 16,000 Afghanis per ton. 

The ministry said that the area of the mine is 0.24 hectares and the contract company will invest about 151 million Afghanis, which will provide work for 45 people in addition to social services, and this company will extract 56,000 tons of chromite in the course of five years.

The Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum also gave brief information regarding the contract for the third semi-block of lead and iron in Shahrak district of Ghor province, which was signed a while ago with Khlvak Kazemi Mining Company: The third semi-block of lead and iron is 105 square kilometers 10 million dollars for social services, establishment of a processing factory, construction of 500 kilometers of road from Faryab to Badghis province and from Ghor to Herat province, 20 percent royalty, 20 percent income tax, land rent and 100 percent processing inside the country with The media became partners.

It should be mentioned that lately, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has been selling some of the country's mines through tenders to domestic and foreign companies.
