Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: These statements of those in the know are being made while the diplomatic trips between the Afghan government and the Islamic Republic of Iran have increased more than any other time after the Islamic Emirate came to power again. Yesterday, the deputy of Iran's judiciary arrived in Kabul and met with the minister of foreign affairs and the deputy of the ministry of justice and discussed the expansion of economic and political relations between the two countries.
Speaking to Ava, Qayum Sahashizada, an expert on international relations, said that the Islamic Emirate's independent foreign policy, non-interference in the affairs of countries, the fight against drugs and terrorist groups, have caused the authorities of neighboring countries, especially Iran, to improve relations and cooperate with the Emirate.
According to his statements, during the republic, due to the presence of the Americans, the political and economic relations between Afghanistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran were not very good, because the Afghan government could not make independent decisions in its foreign policy, and the foreign policy of Afghanistan was influenced by the policy of the United States and other countries.
This international relations expert stated that the people of Afghanistan and Iran have a common history in culture and civilization, adding that with the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, these commonalities have been further strengthened and have had an impact on political relations.
Sufizadeh also pointed out that the economic and trade solidarity between Afghanistan and Iran has led to the expansion of diplomatic and commercial relations between the two countries.
At the same time, Mohammad Hassan Jafari, a professor at the university, also told AVA that common security issues such as the Islamic Emirate's serious fight against the cultivation and trafficking of drugs and terrorist groups, led to an increase in the movement of officials from the two countries and close cooperation between the governments of Afghanistan and has become the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He pointed out that better security of the common border of Afghanistan and Iran has caused the governments of the two countries to improve diplomatic relations and to prevent the entry of terrorist groups and individuals.
He also emphasized that with the implementation of the new system in Afghanistan, economic cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan has played an important role in strengthening the relations between the governments of the two countries, especially in the fields of trade, transportation, export and import.
This university professor added that Iran has hosted more than 3 million Afghan immigrants over the past forty years, and that the situation of immigrants in Iran has improved with the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, and the number of Afghan prisoners has been handed over to the Islamic Emirate.
It should be mentioned that the Islamic Republic of Iran was one of the first countries that entrusted the representation of Afghanistan to the Islamic Emirate and expanded its political and economic relations with Afghanistan.
