"Marks Potzel" in a meeting with the governor of Panjshir; Afghan people no longer want war
Marks Potzel, the political deputy of the UNAMA office in Afghanistan, during a trip to Panjshir province and in a meeting with Hafiz Mohammad Agha Hakim, the governor of this province, said that the people of Afghanistan are fed up with the battles and are no longer in favor of war.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Marks Potzel, the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General in Afghanistan, said in a meeting in Panjshir Province that the people of Afghanistan do not want war.
 
Mr. Potzel, who visited the province to investigate the human rights situation, the security situation and how to provide assistance to the people of Panjshir, said that "Afghans" should be given the opportunity to choose their lives.
 
The Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Afghanistan said: "I believe that the people are fed up with the battles and no longer want war. They should be given the opportunity to choose how they want to live."
 
According to Tolo News, Mr. Potzel added in a meeting with the local officials of Panjshir that in order to provide more aid in Afghanistan, it is necessary to remove some of the orders of the Islamic Emirate.
 
Marks Potzel added: "We have seen positive cases. The security situation in the country has improved. We see a reduction in corruption and drug cultivation, we praise these things. We also asked the United Nations Security Council to present a balanced picture. But withdrawing some commands can help us in helping you."
 
At the same time, the governor of Panjshir said in this meeting that the situation of human rights is much better than in the past and criticized the reduction of human rights aid in this province.
 
Mohammad Agha Hakim, governor of Panjshir, said: "Almost a province has been forgotten. "As much as we expected that our fellow international organizations and organizations that help in human rights and humanitarian aid and these sectors will pay more attention to Panjshir province, but unfortunately, they still did not pay more attention."
 
In a meeting with the local officials of Panjshir, Mr. Potzel added that in order to provide more aid in Afghanistan, some orders of the Islamic Emirate need to be removed.
