Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The resolution "Humanitarian Ceasefire" in Gaza was approved by the UN General Assembly with the decisive vote of the delegations of the member states.
Jordan's proposed resolution on the humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza was approved by the United Nations General Assembly on Friday, October 27, 2023, with 120 votes in favor against 14 votes against and 45 abstentions. This resolution calls for an "immediate and permanent ceasefire to stop the conflicts".
This non-binding resolution was voted on Friday evening in the United Nations General Assembly, while the 15 member countries of the United Nations Security Council failed four times to approve the resolution regarding the conflicts between Hamas and the Zionist regime.
This resolution was approved in the General Assembly after the Security Council tried four times to approve the resolution but failed.
Before the vote, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi said that voting against this resolution "means approving this war and brutal killing."
He wrote on X social network: Millions of people watch every voting session. History will judge this.
As concerns over the escalation of the war have grown, the UN General Assembly in its resolution stressed the "importance of preventing further instability and escalation of violence in the region".
This forum also asks "all parties to exercise maximum restraint and all those who have influence over the parties to work to achieve this goal."
The General Assembly also declared that it "resolutely rejects any attempt to forcibly transfer Palestinian civilians."
In this regard, "Linda Thomas Greenfield", the permanent representative of the United States in the United Nations, supported the crimes of the Zionist regime and claimed that Tel Aviv must protect its people according to the rules of war.
Greenfield, however, said international humanitarian law must be respected by all parties in the Gaza Strip and throughout the region.
This is despite the fact that since a few hours ago, the Israeli fighter jets have started attacking various areas of the Gaza Strip, and the sound of ambulances can be heard in the attacked areas.
The authorities of the Zionist regime have announced the expansion of ground operations in Gaza, and the Palestinian media have reported that the resistance fighters have faced the attacks of the Zionists.
Analysts say that the occupying army has completely cut communication lines in Gaza in order to prepare for unprecedented killings in the coming hours.
