Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Higher Education, on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, published a newsletter saying that the purpose of this memorandum is to provide special SIM cards for professors, students and employees of the Ministry of Higher Education, to provide internet packages, voice and short text messages. In order to set up online courses for the students of the center and provinces of the country, pay employees' salaries through the "Mobile Money" system, create a call center and other services.
In a ceremony held on this occasion at the Ministry of Higher Education, Hafiz Mohammad Hamed Haseeb, Finance and Administrative Deputy of the Ministry of Education, while appreciating Afghan Wireless Company, spoke about the development plans and also the benefits of the mentioned memorandum.
He said that the Ministry of Higher Education has ongoing programs and plans to strengthen and create the necessary teaching and administrative facilities, which are being implemented one after the other.
The Minister of Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Higher Education also said about the benefits of the mentioned memorandum that the ministry signed a memorandum of understanding with the Afghan Wireless Company based on its needs and in order to give professors and students better access to internet services to advance their academic and teaching activities. Those necessary facilities will be provided at reasonable cost for professors, students and employees.
Then, Aliullah Sarwari, the executive chairman of Afghan Wireless Company, stated that the strengthening and development of the country's education system is the responsibility of every individual in the society and promised that the said company is ready for any kind of cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education to provide more and better services.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Zia Jabarkhil, the head of information technology of the Ministry of Higher Education, informed about the benefits of the mentioned memorandum of understanding and said that with the signing of this memorandum in the areas of providing cheap and free internet for students, making it easier for clients through the call center and sending short messages and In addition, other necessary facilities will be provided.
