Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Abdul Ghani Baradar, the economic deputy of the Prime Minister's Office, today (Wednesday, October 18, 2023), at the opening ceremony of the 29th "Agricultural Products Exhibition" held in Kabul, called on all government departments and citizens to support Domestic agricultural products use it.
The Economic deputy of the Prime Minister's Office pointed out that domestic products benefit from natural vitamins and healthy features compared to foreign products.
He stated that Afghanistan is an agricultural country and according to official statistics, about 68 percent of our people are engaged in agriculture and livestock, adding that unfortunately they are still using the old system, so they have not made significant progress.
The economic deputy of Prime Ministry also emphasized that our farmers are using the old irrigation system in the agriculture sector, and that's why despite consuming more water than they need, they still can't get significant agricultural products.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has the obligation to provide the necessary facilities for the mechanization of agriculture and the popularization of modern irrigation systems and its implementation for the farmers and take firm steps in this regard.
Mr. Baradar emphasized on the absorption and healthy management of domestic agricultural products, and in this regard, he obliged the relevant ministries and departments to transfer and deliver them to the market, transportation, cold stores, packaging, marketing as soon as possible in order to better absorb agricultural products. Provide the necessary facilities inside and outside the country.
At the end of the ceremony, he called on all citizens and especially government departments to use domestic agricultural products to meet their needs.
