Turkish air attack on Kurdish positions in northern Iraq
Just a few hours after the suicide attack in Ankara that happened on Sunday (9 Mizan), the Turkish army attacked the positions of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
Afghan News Agency (AVA): The Ministry of Defense of Turkey announced that its warplanes bombed 20 positions of the PKK in northern Iraq.
 
In a statement published by this ministry in this regard, it is also stated: "The positions of PKK and other terrorist elements in the areas of Matina, Harkurak, Qandil and Gara in northern Iraq were attacked by airstrikes in order to avoid the terrorist attacks that are carried out through northern Iraq against the people. and the Turkish police forces, to prevent and ensure the security of our borders.
 
In line with these measures, the Turkish Ministry of Defense mentioned the "right to self-defense". The headquarters of the Kurdistan Workers' Party is in the Qandil mountains in northern Iraq.
 
The Turkish government also announced the death of one of the PKK leaders in eastern Syria.
 
According to Sputnik, the Turkish Intelligence Organization announced that during a special operation, it killed one of the leaders of the Turkish Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the Qamishli region located in eastern Syria.
