He stated that without the permission of the National Food and Spices Administration, edibles and medicines cannot enter the country through customs, adding that one of the goals of this administration is to provide people with access to better food, high-quality and standard spices.
 
According to Omar, in the last one and a half years, they have given licenses to 10 factories and destroyed more than 342 tons of low-quality food.
 
He emphasized that during this period, there has been a serious fight against drug smuggling, and laboratories will also start working to separate halal from haram.
 
On the other hand, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade said in this meeting that Afghanistan has reached self-sufficiency in 50 drugs and this number will reach 100 by the end of next year.
 
This is despite the fact that the citizens of the country have always complained about the poor quality of medicine in pharmacies.
