He added: We recently witnessed how global air temperature and ocean level set new historical records in July. These records have dire consequences for both people and the planet, which is subject to increasingly frequent and extreme events. 2023 is now the third warmest year on record, 0.43°C above the recent average, with global average July temperatures 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
According to the president, according to this organization, in July 2023, it was 0.72 degrees warmer than the average temperature of July 1991-2020 and 0.33 degrees warmer than the record of the hottest month in 2019. The Copernicus Climate Change Service estimates that July 2023 was about 1.5 degrees warmer than the 1900-1850 average.
Earlier, the United Nations World Meteorological Organization had predicted that the global temperature could reach a record high in the next five years.
