A new international trade center was opened on the border of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan
Uzbek media reports the opening of a part of the international trade center in the city of Tirmaz on the border of this country with Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The first block of the new international trade center was opened in Tirmaz on the border of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. This matter was reported yesterday (Friday) by the state newspaper "Yangi Uzbekistan" (New Uzbekistan).
 
This complex has a production and logistics area, a medical center and a restaurant. Blocks in the central shopping area designed for 4,000 stores have been made available to entrepreneurs. The full launch of this project is planned for the first quarter of 2023.
 
The international trade center is expected to generate $500 million in annual turnover and $10 million in services. It will also have a hotel with 300 beds. Foreign nationals and legal entities can buy or rent retail spaces in the complex, or get them for free under certain conditions.
 
Afghan nationals can stay in the complex for business purposes without a visa for up to 10 days. The establishment of this center will increase the trade with Afghanistan to 1.2 billion dollars.
