IEA Shares Condolences Over Quake Tragedy Hit Indonesia
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, expressed solidarity with Indonesia over the tragedy earthquake which killed more than 50 people.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan expressed regret at the recent earthquake in Java province, Indonesia, causing considerable human and financial losses, and extends condolences to the government and people of Indonesia.
 
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, suplicates to Allah to grant Jannah to the victims and swift recovery to the injured, the Afghan Ministry of Foreign stated.
 
Earlier today, Monday a 5.6-magnitude earthquake killed more than 60 people and injured hundreds in Indonesia s West Java province on Monday, with rescuers trying to reach survivors trapped under the rubble amid a series of aftershocks.
 
The epicentre was near the town of Cianjur in West Java, about 75 km (45 miles) southeast of the capital, Jakarta, where some buildings shook and some offices were evacuated.
 
In 2004, a 9.1 magnitude quake off Sumatra island in northern Indonesia triggered a tsunami that struck 14 countries, killing 226,000 people along the Indian Ocean coastline, more than half of them in Indonesia.
