Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): China's state-run CCTV network reported on Tuesday (November 8, 2022) that China will comprehensively strengthen military training and preparation for any war, quoting President Xi Jinping.
According to Reuters, while announcing the country's focus on preparing for war, Xi Jinping added that China's security has become increasingly unstable and uncertain. According to Western media, these comments raise concerns that Beijing is preparing to attack Taiwan.
Earlier, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian reacted to Taiwan's efforts to invest $10 million in chip production in Lithuania at a news conference on Tuesday, stressing that this action will be met with a firm response from Beijing.
According to him, Beijing is committed to resolutely oppose any attempt by Taiwan to collude with foreign forces and try to separate from China. Accusing Taiwan of creating tensions, Zhao Lijian said that the tensions in the Taiwan Strait are caused by the collusion of officials of Taiwan's ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) with foreign forces.
China's tension with Taiwan reached its peak in recent weeks after US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan in August; an action that angered China and this country is still holding military exercises and missions around this island.
