Three Taliban leaders liquidated in Afghanistan

Three local Taliban leaders, including the shadow governor, were killed by airstrike in Farah province, in western Afghanistan. This is reported by Xinhua with reference to a statement by the Ministry of Defense of the country.

According to the defense department, shadow governor of Farah Mullah Abdul Bari, as well as field commanders Mullah Saddik and Mawlawi Sayed, were killed on Friday evening, August 2.

The statement does not specify whether the strike was inflicted by the Afghan Air Force or the coalition forces led by NATO. The Taliban have not yet commented on this information.

It is known that the Farah province has long been an arena of fierce clashes between militants and security forces.
The number of U.S. military contingent in Afghanistan is 14,000 people. They both train Afghan colleagues and take part in separate counter-terrorism operations against terrorist groups, such as the ISIS and the Taliban.

Earlier, US President Trump announced the withdrawal of troops from Syria and the victory over the ISIS terrorist organization in Syria. The U.S. Department of Defense also announced that it plans to provide "complete" and "fast" withdrawal of U.S. troops from the country.
