Inyatullah Hafeez on Sunday registered his candidacy with the election commission in Kabul to contest the July presidential election, vowing to ensure security, uniform development and fight corruption if he wins.
Afghanistan’s presidential election will take place next April 20, with results due by June, the electoral authority in the conflict-ridden country announced on Monday.
