Inyatullah Hafeez 4th presidential hopeful in Afghan 2019 presidential polls
Inyatullah Hafeez on Sunday registered his candidacy with the election commission in Kabul to contest the July presidential election, vowing to ensure security, uniform development and fight corruption if he wins.
AVA- The presidential hopeful, the fourth person to register as a presidential candidate, also said he would work to consolidate political and social stability and establish the true spirit of national unity.
Inayatullah Hafeez, an ethnic Hazara, was born in Behsud district of central Maidan Wardak province in 1978. He completed his higher education in languages and literature faculty of the English Department and did his masters in business and served as advisor at the ministry of transport.
Janat Khan Fahim will run as his first and Abdul Jamil Sheriani as his second deputy presidential candidates.
Hafeez told the media after his registration that in case of his team’s victory, they would ensure security, balanced development, end to corruption and consolidation of political and social stability.
When asked about poverty, he said he would bring about positive changes in socio economic standard of the people if they won the July 20 election.
Meanwhile Abdul Aziz Ibrahimi, deputy IEC spokesman, told media the commission was ready to register presidential candidates, but there were no plans to extend the registration process.
According to IEC’s information, a presidential candidate should be a Muslim, Afghan citizen, having completed the age of 40 and should present 100,000 supporters and pay a million afghanis to the commission.
