During a visit to the families of martyrs, Sheikh Abdul Hakim Haqqani, the Deputy Minister of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs, stated that eleven billion Afghanis have been distributed to the heirs of martyrs and individuals with disabilities by the ministry this year.

Currently more than 600,000 orphans, widows and disabled children are registered with the ministry. Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs officials said during their accountability report.
