Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Prime Minister's Office, participated and gave a speech at the national conference on encouraging investment and job creation, which was held under the title "National Microfinance Conference: Opportunities and Challenges".
A number of cabinet members, representatives of the United Nations, the European Union and the World Bank, foreign ambassadors residing in the country, officials of international and domestic institutions, and a number of national investors and businessmen also participated in this conference.
During his speech at the conference, the economic deputy minister said that the beneficiaries of the microfinance sector are the common and poor people, farmers and small business owners, and cooperation with them is the common goal of the Islamic Emirate and the international community.
Mullah Baradar Akhund added that the Islamic Emirate considers reducing poverty and unemployment and providing job opportunities for the people as its responsibility and priority, for this reason, in order to support small businesses and create new job opportunities, the Central Bank monitors and The regulation of this section has also been established, which had not been done in the last twenty years.
According to the Economic Vice President of the Prime Minister's Department, by providing nationwide security and transparency in the country, now more than ever, a better opportunity has been provided to help the common people through the microfinance sector and provide them with work.
He pointed out that support and joint work with small funds is important because this sector is related to the lives of the common and poor people, and through this sector, farmers, common people and the poor are helped and work is provided for them. It reduces the level of poverty, unemployment, social problems and as a result leads to economic growth and strengthening of the national economy.
Recently, the Economic Vice President of the Ministry asked the international community, donor agencies and wealthy Afghans to stand by the Islamic Emirate in supporting microfinance. He added that common people, farmers and small business owners can start or expand their businesses by using the regulation of micro financing.
It is worth mentioning that in the regulation of micro financing, the conditions for obtaining financing have been made easier, so that poor people in remote areas can obtain financing and this process can be extended to all regions of the country.
