Re-establishing warm relations with Kabul could help Islamabad's trade situation.

The president's special envoy for regional consensus on Afghan peace Mohammad Umer Daudzai met Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad on Tuesday, in what was his first visit abroad following his appointment to the new position.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in his maiden visit to Kabul underscored the need for enhanced coordination between the two countries in counterterrorism efforts with an offer to train personnel of Afghan police and other law enforcement agencies at Pakistani institutions.

Kabul and Islamabad on Monday agreed on continued cooperation under the Afghanistan Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity (APAPPS).
